Kindergarten kids celebrated blue day on 21st April 2022 to demonstrate support and care for environmental protection. The significance of blue colour was told to the children through a series of activities. Excitement and enthusiasm was visible everywhere, with all the children and teachers dressed up in different shades and hues of blue.
The little ones of KG I & II made different posters with the colour blue depicting a message to save our Earth. The posters were made of different themes with captions like “Save Water,” “Save Trees and Plants,” “Small Hands Save the Earth” and “Save Animals”.
The children paraded the corridors with their craftwork, reciting the slogans and urging all around to join hands in conserving and protecting our Mother Earth in the presence of our Vice Prinicipal, Mrs. Geeta Chauhan and KG Coordinator, Mrs. Sheeja Philip.
Blue Day was an amazing learning experience which had a long lasting effect on each student. Early identification of colours helped to create the cognitive link between visual clues and words which is an important part of a child’s development.
It was indeed a visual treat to see the good effects of blue colour on our little ones. Finally the “Earth Day” ended with a good message to the children to protect the Earth.
