The Investiture Ceremony of Indian School Darsait for the academic session 2024-2025 was
solemnised with grandeur on Thursday, 9 May 2024, in the Senior School Auditorium. Dr. Fatin Al Zadjali, Head of Learning and Development at Bank Dhofar, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
The event commenced with a ceremonial procession of the esteemed dignitaries, including the Chief Guest, President SMC, Vice President SMC, members of SMC and school officials. The procession, led by the Student Council, epitomized dignity and purpose, symbolizing the collective commitment to excellence and leadership.
The formal ceremony began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by the soulful rendition of the school prayer. Mrs. Shamshad Hamza, Vice Principal, extended a warm welcome to the august gathering. Mr. Amar Srivastava, Principal, introduced the Ceremonial Heads and General Prefects, administering the oath. The House Councillors introduced the new House Prefects, Vice Captains, Captains, and House Coordinators.
The Chief Guest bestowed the badges, and the President, School Management Committee, honoured the young student leaders with sashes, entrusting them with their responsibilities and commitment to serve their peers and the school community. Congratulating the student council members, the Chief Guest advised them to be role models and render their responsibilities sincerely. She emphasized the values of discipline, punctuality, and empathy, urging them to embrace leadership and prepare for the future.
Mr. Vijaya Saravanan Sankaran, President, SMC, congratulated the student council members, reminding them of their roles and responsibilities. He urged them to uphold sincerity, empathy, dedication, and lead by example.
Mr. Shalimar Moideen, Vice President and Head of the Academic Subcommittee, SMC, encouraged the student council members to fulfill their duties with dedication, resilience, and unwavering commitment.
Aadil Shaham Arshad, Head Boy, delivered an acceptance speech on behalf of the Student Council,emphasizing integrity and dedication. Aysha Zalka Sakkariya, Head Girl, expressed gratitude and proposed the vote of thanks.
Besides the heads of the various departments, senior secondary students, and teachers, parents of the Student Council members attended the function.
