The 76th Republic Day of India was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour at
Indian School Darsait on Sunday, January 26, 2025. H.E. Shri Amit Narang, the Ambassador of
India to the Sultanate of Oman, was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
The event began with the National Anthem of India, followed by a ceremonial march past
featuring student contingents from six Indian schools in Muscat. Adhil Saham Arshad, Head
Boy, extended a warm welcome to the Chief Guest, dignitaries, parents, and well-wishers. In his
message at the event, Shri Amit Narang quoted Mahatma Gandhi to remind the audience that
rights and duties are two sides of the same coin. His Excellency encouraged students to read,
understand, and follow the rights and duties outlined in the Constitution of India.

the Chief Guest as a token of appreciation and gratitude.
A plethora of cultural programmes followed showcasing the unity in diversity of India. The

‘Sadbhaav Aur Shaanti’ in seven different Indian languages. Students from the primary section
presented a colourful parade and a tableau titled ‘Swarnim Bharat: Virasat aur Vikas’ which
depicted the nation's growth in the fields of education, science and technology, infrastructure,
economy, sports, and international relations. A choral recitation, ‘Mai Naye Bharat Ka Chehra
Hoon’ by the senior section students sublimed the celebration. It was followed by a spectacular
presentation of folk dances, titled ‘Anekta Mein Ekta’, which was indeed a scintillating
