ISD Celebrates Excellence at its 33rd Annual Day 2025-2026

Indian School Darsait marked its 33 rd Annual Day with grandeur on 11 December 2025 at the
Grand Hall, Al Falaj Hotel, Ruwi. The event unfolded in the esteemed presence of the chief
guest, Prof. (Dr.) Ahmed Hassan Al Bulushi, Dean - College of Engineering, National University
of Technology and Science, the guest of honour, Mr. Harshendu Shah, Vice Chairman, Board of
directors, Indian Schools in Oman; dignitaries, members of the School Management Committee,
parents, and well-wishers.
The proceedings began at 6:00 p.m. with the Royal Anthem of Oman and the National Anthem
of India. The ceremonial lighting of the lamp added a traditional start to the evening. The
Invocation Dance, Mayura Varsh, set the tone with its devotional and aesthetic appeal.
The Head Girl, Keyina Mariam Sojan, welcomed the audience while the Assistant Head Boy,
Arshaan Malik, and Assistant Head Girl, Anira Raisa Lobo, presented potted plants to the
dignitaries. In his Presidential Address, Mr. Shalimar Moideen, the President of the School
Management Committee highlighted ISD’s unwavering commitment to quality education and
holistic development. The Principal’s Annual Report, encapsulated the school’s achievements,
initiatives, and milestones for the academic year 2025–2026.
A key highlight of the evening was the felicitation ceremony by the Chief Guest. Staff members
who completed notable years of service, educators who contributed significantly to students’
achievements in academics and sports, and the best-performing houses were honoured. In his
address, the Chief Guest commended the school’s continuous efforts and acknowledged the
collective dedication of staff and the support of parents that strengthens ISD’s reputation.
The cultural segment began with Swaranjali – A Classical Confluence, a captivating
performance by the Senior Section Choir. This was followed by Black and White to Spotlight, an
energetic presentation by the KG II students. The Guest of Honour later presented awards to staff
with perfect attendance and to the ceremonial heads of Class XII. Addressing the audience, Mr.
Shah made it a point to reflect on the history of the school with which he was associated while
praising the school community for its collaborative accomplishments.
The artistic presentations continued with Vintage Voices, a melodious performance of English
classics by the Primary Section Choir, followed by Nritya Fusion – From Traditional to Trend,
an engaging dance sequence. The Senior Section Choir further enthralled the audience with their
harmonious presentation, Symphony of Voices.
A series of vibrant dance performances under the title Dance through Time showcased the
diverse cultural heritage and creativity of ISD students. The segments— Beyond the Motion
(Contemporary Dance), Desh Ki Dharti, Desh Ka Nritya (Folk Dance) and Rhythms of Oman
(Omani Dance)—were met with enthusiastic applause.
The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks proposed by Akshay Ajith, Head Boy, who
expressed gratitude to the dignitaries, parents, staff, and students for their contributions to the
success of the event.
